Mother sitting

Pencil and watercolour on paper, 40*60 cm. November 2011.

Another short-period work made during my “Out of Comfort Zone” project. I really enjoyed the pose that my mom agreed to hold and I felt free with the aquarelle.

Contemporary gothic apartement

Mixed media, 100*120 cm. May 2010.

This one is a course work for interior design from my 2nd course in the college. We drew lots to get one historical period and had to design an idea-project to one specific house. We had the freedom to interpret the period as we want and this is mine. I really enjoyed the process, it’s one of my favourite designs that I have created.

Born in the USA

Paper, cardboard, pen, 50*70cm. January 2011

Idea-project for painting’s design on the topic “History of USA” . The medium would be sgraffito. Spent a lot of time cutting this out of paper, but enjoyed the clean outcome and simple design.

I Fly

Etching, aquatint, 11*19,5 cm, spring 2011.

This is another part of my course work in graphics. Again, this one is the original “black and white”, experimented with couple of other versions as well. I found a similar photograph from one book by Jeff Marano. The anatomy and movement, the border of fashion and eroticism was just stunning.. I made my interpretation:)

The Cigar

Dry point, 17*25 cm, spring 2011.

This is part of my graphics’ course work during spring semester. This is the original one, I experimented with couple of colours and different amounts of paint as well. The purpose was to keep the detail and give the effect of real smoke.

Parallel Reality Next Door

This is my first “moving” piece. I made it for our sculpture-installation course. The task was to create a social installation into the urban space. This short movie is taken in my home neighbourhood during the first 2 years of my studies in Tartu. It has always been ghostly, and every day walking those streets, I have been wondering – do we really know who lives and what happens just next to us?…
